Rotec started as a privately owned company in the early 1980’s and has been a supplier in the PCB electronics assembly industry ever since. In the late 90’s, Rotec was sold to Alpha/MacDermid and changed owners again in 2009 when 2 employees, Tom Meeus and Tom Gevers, took over the business to become the distributor in Benelux for AlphaMetals soldering products, a number 1 worldwide brand in the soldering industry.

Over the years, Rotec extended their product offering with other strong brands like Brady labels, Kyzen cleaning products, Lackwerke Peters coating and potting products,… to come to a comprehensive product portfolio of A-brands. The focus always remainded on a range of consumables and smaller tools used in the electronics PCB-assembly business.

From 2009 onwards, the Rotec philosophy was to not only sell these different products but to have in-house specialists for every product line and in every process who, when requested, could give free of charge on-site service and support at our customers who use our products. As an extra service, we also stock most of our standard products in our warehouse to be able to ship out the next day after receipt of the customer order.

Over the years, many customers in the Benelux have turned to Rotec for the above reasons and value our expertise which made Rotec one of the moast knowledgeable suppliers in this market segment in the Benelux.

In the meantime, Rotec are 11 people in total of which 6 are product specialists with a combined experience of more than 100 years in soldering, cleaning, labelling, potting,… . Rotec will continue to optimise processes in cooperation with our customers in different fields, increasing yields and realising cost savings for our customers.
